Pasadena real estate that will attract Millennials

If you’re thinking of selling your Pasadena real estate in the next few years, it may be smart to consider what Millennial buyers find appealing. Millennials (the generation born between 1980 and 2000) are reportedly the second-biggest segment of home buyers, and within the next few years, that number could increase significantly.

RealtorMag reported “74% of Millennials Say They Plan to Move Within 5 Years.” Based on a survey released by BMO Harris  Bank, 32 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds plan to buy a home in the next year, and three-quarters hope to purchase a home within 5 years.

Features to draw Millennials to your Pasadena real estate

Updated kitchen/bath: Most young buyers will put their money into a home purchase with little left for home updates. Therefore, they want a home that’s already been modernized to meet their tastes. They also want a large kitchen with an open floor plan.

Technology: This is a major force in young people’s lives, and not just for personal reasons, but sometimes professional ones too. Installing outlets with USB ports could help modernize your home. A list of Internet service provider options would be helpful information to provide buyers, as they’ll want to use wireless devices. Space for a home office — with the increase in jobs that allow work from home — is also a plus.

Low-maintenance features: Young buyers often search for homes with low-maintenance features. Wood floors are seen as lower-maintenance than carpeting that requires frequent vacuuming, for example.
